Waipā District Council engaged Structured Technologies to design, supply, and install a suite of modern meeting-room AV solutions and an advanced building-monitoring system for its new office at Roche Street, Te Awamutu.
Delivered within a tight pre-Christmas programme, with 1st December 2025 handover, this project supported a flexible, hot-desk working environment by combining intuitive collaboration technology with real-time data insights on space utilisation and building performance.

Structured Technologies provided end-to-end AV and monitoring solutions across the new office, including:
Meeting Room AV Solutions Across 6 Spaces:
- 5 medium-sized meeting rooms
- A large-sized meeting room featuring an 86” Yealink Meeting Board
- Yealink ceiling speakers and ceiling microphone arrays
Collaboration & Informal Spaces:
- New-generation Yealink Meeting Displays with integrated digital signage capability
- Additional digital signage displays throughout the office
Room Management & Analytics:
- Yealink 10” Room Panels and Room Sensor Pro in all meeting rooms
- Live visibility of room usage, occupancy, air quality, light and sound levels
Building Monitoring System, with Tether Software
- Building and desk occupancy tracking
- Air quality, CO₂ levels, light metering and audio monitoring
- Data-driven insights to support hot-desk utilisation and workforce planning
The Result
A Smarter, Data-Driven Workspace
Waipā District Council now has a fully connected, insight-driven workplace that enables smarter use of space, improves meeting experiences, and provides real-time visibility across its new office environment.
The combined AV and monitoring solution allows Waipā District Council to understand how their building is being used (down to the individual desk level), helping them identify trends, peak usage periods, and potential issues with availability or environmental conditions. For a hot-desk workplace, these insights are critical to optimising performance and staff experience.
